My Journey into Marketing

My experience in marketing began a few years ago. I didn't think I could build a business, it almost seemed impossible. I have had many small jobs through life such as a newspaper route, while growing up in Massachusetts I would shovel and do yardwork for members in my community. I had no clue what a business was, I just liked to work and make my own money, even though it wasn't a lot. But my introductions into small business ownership started at a small gas station, Huhtala Oil. My boss at the time had been in business for many years. His company was a family-owned business. It was here where I developed a deep understanding of community engagement and customer loyalty, beginning to learn the art of personalized service and local outreach. Now, in my role with the United States Coast Guard, I apply these marketing insights in high-pressure environments, focusing on strategic communication and team cohesion. Once I enrolled into college and really started learning about marketing, I realized I have the ability to craft innovative campaigns that connect with diverse audiences, combining grassroots marketing with disciplined, strategic thinking.
